"My greatest achievement at work"

 

I was placed at TechnipFMC which is an EPC firm in the oil and gas industry during my B.Tech. I was initially allotted the static engg department at my first job and had also been trained for 3 months.

But suddenly, I was told that I would be working in a new department, the package equipment department because of high workload and less manpower in the department. I was put on a live project itself from the first day. As this was completely new for me and my first project, I was initially facing difficulties on completing deliverables assigned to me. 

To overcome it I started interacting with the people in the department and asked them to help me and eventually started learning from them. As time passed by, my lead started giving me more responsibilities from preparing requisition documents to performing bid evaluations and sometimes even presenting in front of vendors to performing high end design calculations. Those 2 months were very hectic and I had to sometimes work even on weekends and for 12-13 hours to meet the tight deadlines.

However, at the end of the project my lead was very happy with my work. He appreciated me in front of the whole team and even requested my HOD to permanently allot me the packages department.
